This type of construction dates back to the late 1600s and is perfect for providing more living space and for accommodating future additions. For this job we installed Ice & Water ahead of the drip edge, before extending it to wrap under the fascia. The existing gutter straps were reinstalled under Estate Gray shingles, as part of a complete OC roofing system.
This homeowner was having issues with Ice Dams and had water stains on their ceiling from water damage. We completely stripped the existing roof and replaced 27 sheets of plywood decking that were damaged from water. We installed Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water from all eaves, valleys, and chimneys/skylights. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration TruDefinition Shingles in the color Estate Gray. This home had a skylight and chimney flashing which also needed replacing.
