This was a nineteen year old roof that had curling shingles. This can be caused by any number of things. If your attic is not vented properly, the trapped heat can cause the shingle material to warp and deteriorate. Improper instillation can also cause curling to happen prematurely. This project, in Simsbury, CT included three rows of Ice & Water shield, new PERMA vent pipe boots and a Velux skylight.

Amy in Simsbury, CT reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing after noticing a leak coming from the upper section of her roof. During our inspection, we found that a partial roof replacement was the best solution. Our crew removed the damaged shingles and replaced six damaged plywood boards to restore the structure. We then protected the area with SealoronXT Ice & Water and underlayment, before installing new shingles to match the existing roof. To complete the job, we also replaced the old metal flashing on the selected roof sections, leaving Amy’s home protected and leak-free once again. The Klaus Roofing Way!

Quan reached out from Simsbury, CT, asking if someone could take a look at his parents’ roof and provide a free estimate for a new roof. After the inspection, it was clear the roof was ready for a full replacement, so our team walked them through the process and scheduled the job. We removed the old shingles, checked the plywood for any damaged or soft areas, and replaced what was needed. Once the deck was solid, we installed the SealoronXT Deck Tape to seal the seams, added SealoronXT Ice & Water in the exposed and leak-prone spots, and covered the rest of the roof with Velora One Underlayment for complete protection. Their home also needed partial Smart Eave ventilation, which we added to help the attic breathe better and prevent future moisture issues.
