After a recent hurricane in Georgia, large portions of the city of Hazelhurst, Ga were left in shambles. Gary, a resident of Hazelhurst, made out quite lucky only having some shingles go missing. After seeing MVW's presence in his area after the storm, he contacted us to give him a free roofing quote. Our sales representative Zach performed the inspection and went over his findings with Mr. Gary. Zach noted the missing shingles, but he also realized the existing shingles were beginning to lift and were very faded. Zach recommended a full roof replacement due to the current state of the shingles and the age. Mr. Gary couldn't have agreed more, and he was excited to give his home a fresh new look. Alerting the production schedular, Zach got the ball rolling, and the roof replacement on the calendar. When the time presented itself, our crew arrived and did not waste any time removing all of the old worn shingles off the roof. They insured the decking was still in pristine condition and then applied our top-of-the-line Velora underlayment to provide a layer of additional protection to the decking. Once this step was completed, we went in with IKO's Dynasty AR shingles in the sleek color, Granite Black. This transformed Mr. Gary's home in a great way, making the home appear brand new! The last and final step is cleanup. Our crew members take pride in leaving each house better than we found it. All debris was removed from the lawn, and no nails were left behind! Mrs. Cathy lives in the small town of Baxley, GA. She had a green metal roof that was nearing the time of getting a replacement. Mrs. Lynn called the office of MVW Roofing one morning regarding some recent issues she was having with her roof. A few years prior the roof was repaired using an opposing company, but this was not a resolution to the issue. The homeowners were still experiencing a leak within the home. She explained all of these issues to the appointment specialist who was more than happy to lend a listening ear. We scheduled Mrs. Lynn an appointment to have one of our sales representatives perform a free inspection of her roof. She was eager to find out what the Sales Representative would find, and the solutions he would recommend for her. After climbing onto the roof, our Sales Representative immediately noticed missing shingles that once covered a portion of the ridge vent, most likely causing the leak. Our sales representative placed a tarp over the exposed area to prevent further damage until we could get the job started. He also noticed that the existing shingles were severely past their recommended lifespan. This caused the shingles to become thin and brittle, and ultimately flake off. After pulling the home's measurements and taking several photos, it was time to create the estimate for Mrs. Lynn and her husband. Our Sales Representative recommended that the whole roof should be replaced due to its age, and to check the entire roof's decking for water damage from the leak. Once the estimate was formulated, it was proposed to the homeowners, and they happily agreed. Now that this step was completed it was time to start the roof replacement! Our trustworthy crew arrived and immediately got to work on removing the old and worn shingles and underlayment. They carefully examined the decking underneath and replaced any affected areas with new OSB. An Ice and water shield was applied to cover the decking to seal out any future water that may creep underneath the shingles. New shingles were carefully and properly installed, and it was finally time for the homeowners to see the finished product. They could not believe their eyes!
