This roof was old and had water intrusions. We replaced it The Klaus Roofing Way.
In the before picture, you can see little tiny asphalt granules that came from the old shingles. Not only can this clog gutters, but it also shows that the shingles are no longer protected against UV-rays and weather. Knowing this, we started on installing a new roof. After stripping the old shingles and underlayments, we installed our own. We installed two underlayments, KRS Sealoron XT Ice/Water shield and KRS Velora One synthetic. We then installed IKO Dynasty AR shingles in a Glacier shade.
Larry S. of Cleves, Ohio, called us regarding his rental home. It needed a new roof and new chimney flashing. We worked with his insurance company and completed the roof replacement quickly.
Larry had this to say about our work: "Klaus Roofing was very helpful when we needed a new roof. Jeff even came out a second time to meet with the insurance company to answer any questions. Chris and his crew covered everything around the house and made certain everything was cleaned up before they left." Thank you for the testimonial Mr. S! We are so grateful to you.
This building holds some offices for a company that does some contracting work, so they were pretty aware of what a good roofing job looks like. Pressure or no pressure, we're going to build the roof the right way. After we stripped the existing roof down to the decking, we noticed a couple spots that could use some replacing. We then installed our underlayments and finished by installing IKO Dynasty AR shingles in a Shadow Brown shade. We also added some details by installing perma boots, flashes, edges, and exhaust vents.
We went to this home in March because the home owners knew their roof wasn't in the best shape. They called us back in April because a heavy storm actually ripped a hole in the roof, and the hole was allowing massive amounts of rain to fall into their home. We knew we had to move quick, and so we did. We first placed down some tarp over the hole until it stopped raining so we could start to work on their new roof. Once it stopped raining, we started by stripping the roofing all the way to the decking. The insulation was in good shape besides where the hole was, so it wasn't necessary to replace it completely. We then replaced the plywood sheathing on the roof and sealed it with Sealoron XT deck tape. We then placed down our Sealoron XT premium ice/water shield and KRS Velora One synthetic underlayments. We then put IKO Dynasty shingles on top of the underlayment in a summit grey color. We added some smaller details including perma-boot pipe flashing, ACM aluminum edges, and IKO ridge vents and shingles.
