The existing roof for this home in Newport had seen a lot. Discolored shingles, leaks, warped shingles, and expensive energy bills were all a cause for concern. We replaced this roof The Klaus Roofing Way, so we can guarantee our warranty. Part of doing it our way means all facets of the roof have to be up to code. Read this section our Inspector left on why the existing decking was troublesome, "The decking of the current roof includes shiplap/board decks; the gaps between each board are too wide. This issue can cause leaks and incorrect installation due to nails not properly fastening into wood decking. This is not recommended as it may potentially cause buckling problems, which are not covered by our warranty. Therefore, the roof decking needs an overlay of ⅜ plywood." We finished the new roof in a day.

The existing roof actually had a section that had collapsed from storm damage. There was a rather large hole that went straight into their living room, and the homeowner had to put up tarps for the time being. We made sure to act swiftly to get a new roof installed, so they won't have to worry any longer. A lot of people underestimate how important a roof is for deflecting rain and wind away from a home. We made sure to replace the decking that had collapsed or otherwise received water damage, and then we replaced the roof. We made sure to install underlayments that will help the shingles tremendously, and we installed IKO Dynasty AR shingles in a Summit Gray shade. 

We replaced this worn down roof with our premium materials. The roof that once leaked massive amounts of water is now safe from intrusions! Shingles came in a Granite Black shade, which matches very nicely with the orange/red brick siding. 

The existing roof on this home was due for a full replacement.  We stripped the existing roof after we placed tarps leading to a large dumpster from the roof. The tarps help collect any debris that we may have missed from stripping the roof down. After we got rid of the existing roof, we installed our underlayments consisting of the IKO Stormshield Ice & Water membrane, and the other underlayment called Tri-Built synthetic. We then installed IKO Dynasty AR shingles in a Granite Black shade.
