This back porch in Milwaukee WI had a rubber roof that was peeling due to old age and the adhesive no longer working. We peeled off the rubber roofing and installed Modified Bitumen (mod bit) roofing, which is made from bitumen and ceramic granules. The chimney flashing was also completed to give the roof a finished look and seal the connection between the roof and chimney.
This roof lost many shingles in a recent windstorm. Klaus Roofing Systems worked with the homeowner's insurance company and replaced the roof.
This home had water pouring into the house during rain, so we replaced main chimney flashing, added ice and water barrier, replaced step-flashing and counter flashing.
This customer had a cedar roof that needed to be removed due to the wood no longer being good. We stripped the roof down to its decking and concluded that replacing the boards underneath was not necessary. After that we installed IKO asphalt shingles.
This home needed for all of their ridge cap shingles to be replaced since they were rotting away, which can cause leaking along the hips and ridges of the house. This is typically caused by faulty or recalled shingles and will have worn down over the past 10 years.
We went in to replace all damaged ridge caps and hip cap shingles with IKO Dynasty AR hip and ridge shingles and replaced the ridge vent with Owens Coming VentSure ridge vents since it’s a more unique design. We also inspected popped shingles along the valleys and repaired those areas pending the homeowner’s approval.
