Roof Installation on Cape in Colchester, CT

This late 50s era home in Colchester, CT had water leakage in several rooms. There was also issues with insulation between the dormer and the roof. We disposed of two layers of old shingles and replaced the rotted decking with new CDX plywood. The entire front shed roof deck was restored with Mule Hide purpose made flat roofing. Updated vents, flashing and a carefully preserved roof mounted satellite dish made this project a success.

A Winter Roofing Project in Colchester, CT

On this Colchester, CT project we incorporated multiple skylights and replaced the shingles, which had gotten eaten by algae. We also removed all of the rotted fascia boards on the rear of the house and replaced them with cedar trim boards. Note the aluminum seamless gutters and down spouts, in brown, which blend in perfectly with the facade of this home.

New Roof and Structural Repair in Colchester, CT

For this home in Colchester, CT we installed OC True Def Duration Quarry Gray shingles. The entire front porch roof deck was treated with Ice & Water shield and we repaired the damaged collar ties in the attic. Collar ties are structurally important because they prevent the rafters of your attic from sagging. Uneven weight on top of your roof, such as large loads of snow, can cause them to sag and spread apart. They are recommended for roofs with up to approximately 18 foot spans. We also removed all existing chimney flashing and replaced it with new lead flashing. This project was ensured by the Owens Corning Platinum Protection Warranty.

Roof Replacement in Colchester, CT

At this contemporary ranch home in Colchester, CT we tore off the two layers of existing roofing materials. After installing the Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water and ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment, we put in new brown aluminum drip edge/rake flashing along the entire outside perimeter of the roof. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration Shingles in the color Desert Tan. To make sure no moisture passes through to the chimney, we inserted new lead chimney flashing along the entire chimney perimeter. What made this home unique is that it had cedar siding on the outer face of the home. We removed the existing ship lap cedar siding from around the upper roof and installed new cedar siding with new rake and fascia boards.
