This single-family home in New Britain, CT was in need of a roof replacement. To start, we tore off one layer of existing roofing materials and replaced one sheet of damaged plywood decking. We installed 2 rows of ice & water barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In terms of shingles, we installed Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Charcoal Gray. We finished by removing and replacing flashing on the chimney. This house is now complete, thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
This large 1920s home located in New Britain, CT had falling shingles and gaps in the existing roof. This home needed a complete new roofing system to maintain the integrity of the house. This roof did not have any existing plywood decking, which is extremely important to maintain the structure of the roof. To start, we installed brand new plywood decking and topped it with Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water Shield to protect the interior from any exterior moisture. Then we installed ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment and Owens Corning Oakridge Shingles in the color Onyx Black.
This modern 1990s colonial style home needed a new full roof replacement. We first stripped the entire old roof and hauled the old shingles to a recycling plant to be made into asphalt roads. There was ample damaged plywood decking that needed replacing as well as re-securing with ring-shank plywood nails. Then, we laid down Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water from all eaves, valleys, chimneys, skylights, and roof/wall intersections to ensure that no moisture passes through the roof and into the home. Then, we installed Started Shingles along the entire outside perimeter of the roof and followed with Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Shingles in the color Estate Gray. This home also had a large chimney on the side of the house which needed new lead flashing.
This was a nineteen year old roof that had curling shingles. This can be caused by any number of things. If your attic is not vented properly, the trapped heat can cause the shingle material to warp and deteriorate. Improper instillation can also cause curling to happen prematurely. We gave this home the fresh start it needed with a new Owens Corning roofing system. This project, in Simsbury, CT included three rows of Ice & Water shield, new PERMA vent pipe boots and a Velux skylight.
Klaus Larsen LLC completed this roof at the Green Tea Restaurant, located in Simsbury, CT. This job required one layer of shingles, with three rows of Ice & Water shield in all eaves and one valley. We also flashed the cupola and provided a full ventilation system with a Solar Fan, keeping the atmosphere inside this restaurant consistently comfortable.
