This home located in Portland, CT was having leaking issues from the dormers on the roof and the roof was over 20 years old. It was time to put on a brand new Klaus Larsen Roof using the Klaus Roofing System. We started by replacing 3 sheets of plywood decking that had been rotted out by water damage. For optimal water protection, we installed Ice & Water Shield and ProArmour Synthetic Underlayment. Providing durable tear-resistant water protection that adheres to the roofing surface. For shingles, we used Chateau Green. To top it off we installed a Ridge Vent to provide consistent top-notch attic ventilation which prevents moisture from building up.
This single family home in Portland, CT was in need of a new roof. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing material, we replaced 3 sheets of damaged plywood decking. In accordance with the new building codes, we were sure to seal all joints on the roof deck with flashing tape. We then installed two rows of an ice & water barrier near all roof eaves, valleys, chimneys, etc. In terms of shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Charcoal Grey. We finished the job by installing a brand new Ridge Vent. This ridge vent comes with a Weather Protector moisture barrier and proved top-notch consistent attic ventilation.
