Every roof has a story, and Mr. Tim's had endured years of wear, weather exposure, and patchwork repairs. While it may have looked intact from a distance, a closer inspection revealed several underlying issues that needed attention. Aging materials had lost granules, reducing the roof's ability to protect against the elements. Some ridge vents were failing, leading to moisture buildup and inefficient airflow and, outdated skylights had become weak points for leaks and energy loss. To restore the roof’s integrity and efficiency, MVW Roofing implemented a strategic plan. We started by removing all existing roofing and skylights. We then replaced all rotted or damaged plywood. Following the Klaus Roofing way we used Velora One synthetic felt. We also installed Sealoron XT Water and Ice shield on all eves, valleys, and flashing areas. After installing new aluminum drip metal on the eves and rakes, we also installed new pipe boot flashings. Once the new ridge vents were installed the IKO Dynasty architectural shingles and ridge caps were put on. Now, this home is well-ventilated, energy-efficient, and safeguarded against future damage. MVW Roofing remains committed to delivering top-tier craftsmanship, ensuring that every project is built to last.
Julia contacted MVW Roofing after noticing signs of aging and wear on her existing roof. Concerned about long-term protection and interested in upgrading to a more durable roofing system, she reached out to our team of expert roofing contractors for a solution that would stand the test of time—and the elements.
We began the project by carefully removing all existing roofing materials down to the wood decking. Our team back-nailed the entire roof deck for added storm resistance, and we meticulously taped all plywood seams and drip edge to ensure a watertight seal. Any rotted or damaged wood was replaced with high-quality CDX or OSB plywood, guaranteeing a solid foundation for the new roof system. Where necessary, fascia wood and rafters were repaired or replaced to restore full structural integrity.
To protect against moisture and future storm damage, we installed Velora One synthetic underlayment across the deck, followed by Sealoron XT Ice & Water Shield along all eaves, valleys, and flashing areas. We then added black aluminum drip edge on all eaves and rakes, and sealed pipe penetrations with Perma Pipe Boot flashings for maximum leak protection. Julia chose the industry-trusted IKO Dynasty architectural shingles, installed with ring shank nails for superior hold in high-wind areas. We preserved and reused the home’s existing off-ridge vents and completed the job with clean, uniform ridge caps for a finished look. As always, our crew made sure to haul away all roofing debris, leaving the property spotless.
Julia’s new roof isn’t just beautiful—it’s built to last. With MVW Roofing, you get more than just a new roof—you get peace of mind. Whether you're dealing with aging materials or need expert storm damage roof repair, we deliver high-quality solutions with unbeatable service.

Mrs. Andrel called MVW Roofing when she began noticing several areas in her home that were leaking. In multiple rooms in her home, there were visibly clear areas of discoloration on the ceiling. Our appointment specialist set an appointment for our Sales Representative, Logan, to come and preform a free roofing inspection on her home. Logan arrived and got to work right away assessing the damage Mrs. Andrel's roof had endured. He noted that there were missing shingles likely causing the leaking issue the homeowner was having. The surface of her existing shingles were very faded, and they were smooth to the touch. Brand-new shingles are one, uniform color, with a rough texture on top. Mrs. Andrel's roof was certainly past its intended lifespan. Logan the sales representative reviewed his findings with the owner of the home and gave her multiple plans of action to get the repair or replacement rolling. In the end, Mrs. Andrel felt it would be best to have the entire roof replaced. With that being said, this roof was added to the production schedule to be replaced right away. Our outstanding crew arrived and got to work right away ripping the old worn shingles off the roof. There was some decking that had to be replaced due to the rain penetrating through the wood. These affected pieces were removed and replaced with new OSB. After this, the Velora underlayment was rolled on as a protective barrier to seal out any leaks that may try to creep their way in in the future. IKO shingles in the color Weatherwood were chosen to restore this Lakeland residence. The finished product looks phenomenal! Mrs. Andrel's home is now 100% leak free! Our crew took their time ensuring that this resident's lawn was left spick and span with no remnants or nails in sight. Thank you for choosing MVW Roofing!
