A storm came through the Hahira area and knocked off multiple shingles which caused there to be exposed nails. Mr.LC gave MVW Roofing a call and we were able to perform an inspection, provide an estimate, and also work with his insurance company to get his new roof covered!
When Jaime reached out to MVW Roofing, his roof had sustained significant wear and storm damage over time. Shingles were missing, wood rot was evident, and key structural components needed attention. Our team delivered a comprehensive roof replacement using industry-best materials and expert craftsmanship to restore both protection and curb appeal. We began by removing all existing roofing down to the wood deck, then back-nailed the entire surface for added strength and wind resistance. Four sheets of damaged decking were replaced with OSB, and we repaired compromised fascia wood, metal, and vinyl soffits. Any rotted or damaged wood was replaced with CDX or OSB plywood, ensuring a sound foundation for the new system. The roof deck was then covered with Velora One synthetic underlayment, followed by Sealoron XT Ice & Water Shield on all eaves, valleys, and flashing areas for maximum moisture protection. We installed new 26-gauge black aluminum drip edge on all eaves and rakes, along with Perma Pipe Boot flashings to seal around plumbing vents. The new roof was completed with IKO Dynasty architectural shingles, fastened with ring shank nails for exceptional hold. Ridge vents were added to two front ridges and the two main ridges of the home, with matching ridge caps to finish the system. Once completed, all roofing debris was hauled away, leaving the property clean.
The final result not only strengthened the home against future storms but also gave it a sleek, updated look with Granite Black shingles and black trim accents. At MVW Roofing, we believe in delivering long-lasting quality, expert service, and roofing systems built to protect what matters most.
MVW Roofing recently visited Renee's home in Naylor, GA, to inspect her roof following a recent high-wind storm that impacted the area. After assessing the damage, it was clear that a few shingles had been torn off, and the roof had two notable areas of damage. This 2,400 square-foot, five-bedroom home, built in 2019, still has a relatively young roof. However, roofing issues can arise from improper installation or natural wear over time, leading to shingles tearing away as seen on Renee's roof.
Another concern was a 2-foot section of fascia that had been ripped off on the opposite side of the home. After evaluating the exterior, MVW Roofing proceeded to check the attic for any signs of moisture or water damage. Surprisingly, they discovered mold growth on some of the collar beams, which was linked to previous moisture damage that had infiltrated the attic space.
Renee was grateful for the thorough inspection conducted by MVW Roofing, which not only identified immediate roofing concerns but also revealed potential long-term issues that could worsen over time. This proactive approach demonstrates the value of regular roof inspections and repairs to prevent extensive damage. Thanks to the team at MVW Roofing, this home received the necessary attention before the situation could escalate.

Nate in Valdosta, GA called us to inspect his aged, asphalt roof. Once we made it up to the roof, we found areas that needed attention. Separated shingles, worn-down sections, and severely cracked areas put this homeowner in a tough spot. If these shingles weren't replaced soon, Nate could be looking at a much bigger problem than a damaged roof. Going unattended will cause internal damage to the home's interior structure, including wood rot, ceiling damage, and electrical problems if water makes sit way into the attic.
MVW Roofing was able to asses every problem and articulate to the property owner what the best options are to solve his issues. Our experienced team walked through each scenario, explaining the entire roof replacement process from beginning to end.
Nate chose the IKO Dynasty Asphalt in Granit Grey as the new roofing option. This roofing style is a trusted shingle not only for its cosmetic look but also for its durability and transferable 50-year warranty. In the end, this homeowner was happy with the job our roofing experts provided.
