This project in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina had many repairs that needed to be made. To begin this project we removed all of the existing roofing from the wood, and replaced any rotten or damaged wood underneath it. We installed ice and water shield, synthetic felt, and aluminum drip and rake metal. New flashings were installed to the vent pipe boots and to the chimney. We finished the project by installing lifetime shingles, ridge vents, and ridge caps.
This home was in need of a full roof replacement due to normal wear and tear as well as some storm damage. The home was fitted with our beautiful Monaco Red shingle option!
In South Carolina we get a lot of rain, so it is important that your roof is designed to withstand the water flow. This home has cricket and metal diverters to encourage water to move away from the chimney, which prevents leaking from water pooling on your chimney.
This home got a roof replacement as well as traded their old attic fan for a solar attic fan!
This three story duplex on the coast of South Carolina was ready for a new top. Surfside Beach does see the occasional hurricane winds and homes are often inspected for wind damage. This home had lost shingles over the garage. The inspection we found the roofing system worn and weakening. The owner, a military veteran, chose the IKO Dynasty shingle in castle grey. This beach home now shines with pride and is protected for the next hurricane season.
