Roof Repair: In Whitefish Bay, WI

In Whitefish Bay, WI, a homeowner requires repairs on their existing 3,789 sq. ft. roof due to flashing issues improperly installed seven years ago. This project includes counterflashing approximately 18 inches of step flashing on a rear addition, integrated into the brick, and sealing with an end cap to prevent water infiltration. To address a leak near a 15-year-old rubber roof at the rear dormer window, two 1x sticks will be replaced, and kickoff flashing will be added to divert water from the window edges. Additionally, the repair scope includes replacing metal window roofing with rubber, installing new wood in rotted sections around one window, and fixing a gutter end for improved drainage and longevity.

Roof Replacement in Wauwatosa

This home needed a new roof due to its general age and low-quality shingles. Since the owner knew it looked rough, he wanted to replace the roof before it became a bigger issue. As a rental property, he also wanted to make sure the tenants were safe and happy staying there.

We used IDO Cambridge Architectural shingles to stay within his budget while also investing in a great roof for the future!

New Gutters in Wauwatosa

This home was in need for some updated porch gutters, a new downspout, and to route the southeast side downspout into the porch gutter. We also replaced the porch downspout with a larger one in order to handle all the water that would come from the second-floor gutters.

Chimney Flashing Repair in Wauwatosa

This project needed some additional labor when it came down to the section where the valley met the chimney flashing. We removed a section of the valley in order to run IKO's Ice and Water Protector. Usually, when doing a chimney flashing, we are able to remove a few shingles around the chimney, install the ice and water, step flashing, and counterflashing.  In this case, it was more complex than that. Roof Replacement: In Milwaukee, WI

The project involved a complete roof replacement for an extremely old roof that had cedar shakes with two layers of asphalt shingles underneath, covering an area of 2,234 square feet. The roof's condition was critical, with soffits showing holes and the chimney flashing leaking inside. The existing cedar shakes and asphalt shingles were removed to start with a clean slate. New soffits and fascia were installed, enhancing both the structural integrity and appearance of the roof. Vent pipe boot flashings were added to ensure a watertight seal around the pipes. The chimney flashing, which was a source of leaks, was replaced with new aluminum flashing designed for brick chimneys. The new roof, finished in Granite Black with white drip edges, addressed all critical issues, ensuring the home's protection and significantly enhancing its curb appeal.
