Complete Roof Replacement in Tolland, CT

At this dutch colonial style home located in Tolland, CT we completely tore off the existing roof and installed a new Owens Corning roofing system. After we stripped the existing shingles and hauled them to the Asphalt Roof Recycling Center in Stratford, CT we replaced 2 sheets of damaged plywood decking. To protect the interior of the home from moisture, we installed Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water shield. For shingles, we used Owens Corning Duration Shingles in the color Slatestone Gray. To finish this roof off, we removed and replaced all of the lead chimney flashing to ensure that no water can come through the chimney to the interior of the home. This roof comes with a 50-year warranty so the homeowner can go through the rainy months ahead, worry free!

New Roof in Coventry, CT

This raised ranch in Coventry had a roof that was about twenty two years old. The chimney was in dire need of flashing as well as repointing. This refers to repairing the mortar in between the bricks, so that the full structure is totally waterproof. As these shingles fully settle in, we will have another roofing project that we at Klaus Larsen are proud to put our name on.

Restore Victorian Home in Coventry, CT

The roof was the first step in the renovation of this highly ornate & historic home in Coventry, CT. Our greatest overall challenge was working with so many complicated angles, including curved overhangs on the dormers. For the decking, each piece of plywood had to be custom cut in order to compensate for the more obscure corners, before being nailed directly into strips of skip-sheathing. Mule-Hide purpose made flat roofing was applied on the entirety of the front shed roof deck, to be topped by Owens Corning Slatestone Grey shingles.
